The Ferndale Museum

I received a copy of "Our Story" Vol XXXX No 1 from my daughter who lives in Fortuna. It is published by the Ferndale Museum, there is an article titled "Anchoring at Centerville" by Lynn Lourenco concerning the history of the construction of the base and the tensions with the Moranda family and early habitation of the base. It was somewhat interesting but some of the story differed from our story of land acquisition. Also I seem to remember the first female to report aboard was an Ensign the article says it was a 2nd class SK in 1974, which one of "The Cable" issued has the stories of the contract negotiations ?
