Kara my wife of 41 years had an abnormal seizure last Thursday morning. I called 911 and they took her to Obici Hospital in Suffolk where she is going to stay three days for observation. Kara called me on Saturday morning. She sounded as though she was drugged and confused; did not know where she was. My guess she was medicated. Then yesterday I got a call from the Obici Hospital telling me that Kara Conrad's internal organs are shutting down. H O L Y S- - T!!!
She has an Advance Directive stating that DO NOT RESUSCITATE and DO NOT INTUBEATE. They are keeping her comfortable and trying to arrange to find a hospice for her. Today's report was she was not recognizing her son and her eyes are glazed over.
