It's been 4 months since our last update so I thought I'd forward the minutes from our most recent 65th Committee meeting.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Weekend events still planned for 20 to 22 Sep 2019 with Golf tournament on Friday, No Host Happy Hour Friday night, Dinner/banquet Saturday night and NOPF Dam Neck Open House on Sunday. Cost of the event $55.00 per person for the banquet. Ticket sales to commence late March or early April with a special website for sign up and ticket purchase.

MEETING: The IUSS 65th Anniversary Committee met on Wednesday 6 February 2019.

NOTES:

- Committee voted on Chicken Florentine, Atlantic Salmon with Leeks and Manicotti plated dinner options.

- Committee voted on a $55 per person ticket price – Same as the 2014 60th reunion.

- Jim Donovan attended Office Call with CO, NOPF Dam Neck on 25 January with CUS 00 Office Call scheduled for 21 February at 1000.

-Committee decided that there will be no programs printed for the 65th Anniversary/Reunion.

- We are still collecting donations; looking at options for mementoes, keepsakes, centerpieces; in search of a curator with interest in creating an IUSS Cold War display table; in need of a Guest Speaker; and looking for a Navy PAO to coordinate media coverage of the events.

Are there any events scheduled for during the day on Friday and Saturday for those of us that don't play golf? Suggestions for things to go do? Tour of USS Wisconsin? (We climbed the lighthouse last time we attended.)

Mike, At the moment, nothing else is planned but we're discussing options. It takes people to set up, coordinate and follow through on any events. We are still 7 months out. There's plenty of time to coordinate things. Maybe we can simply put a list or link to a list of things to do in the local Hampton Roads area for out of town visitors.
