10 May IUSS 65th ANNIVERSARY UPDATE & CURRENT LIST OF ATTENDEES
I thought I'd provide an update on the Committee's progress to date. Website is up and running at https://iuss65th.org/
Thus far about 50 have registered and paid for the weekend events (you can view the list on Facebook IUSS and SOSUS pages). Will figure out a way to make this information available real time on our website.
MEETING: The IUSS 65th Anniversary Committee met on Wednesday 8 May.
ATTENDEES: Jim and Kathy Donovan, Jerry and Gerry McDonald, Peggy Chadwick, Chris Buswell, Paul Banks, Keith Stevenson, Pat Szewczak, and Ed Smock
FINANCES:
We are still accepting donations to help defray costs and keep the tickets at a low rate. Also offering a $10 discount to Active Duty E6 and below, providing mementoes, centerpieces, bartenders, cashiers, etc. That's where donations help. Thank you to the 10 individuals and one organization who have already donated.

ITINERARY:
20 Sep - IUSS Golf Tournament Friday morning.
20 Sep - No host "Happy Hour" at Marriott Hotel Friday evening at 1800.
Cost: $5. Dress Code: Casual - wear your favorite IUSS shirt! Name tags will be prepared and issued at the event.
Menu: Chicken Florentine or Fresh Atlantic Salmon or Manicotti. Ticket price: $55.00.
Dress Code: Semi formal attire. Note: Dinner Dress White or Service Dress White uniform optional.
22 Sep - NOPF Dam Neck Open House on Sunday 1200-1400 (timeframe tentative).
NOTES:
- Dress Code. Dress code for dinner was modified to include Dinner Dress White as well as Service Dress White as optional attire. Active duty not required to wear uniforms however.
- Reduced ticket prices. Committee will offer up to 100 active duty service members (E-6 and below) a reduced ticket price of $45.00 with committee defraying $10 difference.
- Current status of ticket sales. 47 tickets to anniversary dinner, 48 Happy Hour, 3 Golf Tournament and 23 free tickets to NOPF Open House have been sold. We need a minimum of 200 for the event.
