Chuck Cable (RIP) challenged me to a TARF/RTTF (don't remember which it was) writing contest when we were stationed at COSL in the N2 Dept. Neither of us had written a meaningful report in years.
It required about 10 lines with the start, stop and a few dynamics. I beat him in time by about 15 seconds. However, Dave Williams, the referee, stated that my entries appeared to be in a foreign language. Never was sure what he meant by that!!!!!~
I couldn't get the link to open but would be curious to know what it was about. I remember the days when TARFs would go back to Comm for typing and then they would send them out via paper tape. A good RM could spot errors and bring it back out to the floor for correction :)
Everybody be safe, we don't need any premature 810's !
JRV, glad to hear you're not 820-ing yet :) If you go before me Deb and I already agreed to put the passive sonar equation on your headstone...with the help of heaven maybe you'll finally understand it! Haha!
