Larry Walker passed away June 16, 2020 in Enterprise, AL. Larry served as OPSO at COSP, CO at Pacific Beach, and XO at Whitbey Island. I served with Larry at Pacific Beach, WA and when checking on board realized we both shared the same home town.
Larry was my friend for many years. We shared many fine memories of our adventures together. So very sorry to hear of his passing. Hopefully the memories will remain. Ed Smock
I worked for Larry when he was XO and I was OPSO at the commissioning of Whidbey. He was the most fun to work for, and I learned a lot from his style. And, he also taught me how to swear like a sailor....rest easy, Larry.
