National Geographic show, Back to the Titanic, expedition ship.
While watching the show, Back to the Titanic, the expedition ship looked VERY much like one of the original SURTASS ships. Researching the company leading the expedition, the current name of the ship is, DSSV Pressure Drop. The original name was USNS INDOMITABLE!!
Worked with the Indomitable while stationed at NOPF Ford Island 1985-87. The new DSSV Pressure Drop looks great.

Interesting point, I didn't realize what was happening with our T-AGOS ships. I remember when Stalwart was about to make her maiden voyage and having to deliver classified technical manuals to her at Little Creek. Once she got on station COSL was initially clueless as how to give her tactical guidance. Fortunately there were some very smart CCWO'S (all women LT's as I recall) who caught on quickly and Stalwart was able to make good contributions. I don't think the crew appreciated the sea conditions in the Norwegian :)

Hi Suzan, I was in your watch section at Kef late 1982 just before you transferred.
Your comment on the Titanic reminded of this. I was the section plotter at Argentia in Sep 1985 and remember receiving a classified message with the LAT and LONG of the Titanic’s position and plotting it for the CO’s morning brief. It was very close to a certain point; I would say within 20nm. Looking at the current listed position of the Titanic on the INTERNET it is nowhere near the posit I plotted. I don’t know which position is correct but I can understand not divulging the actual location.
