MAJOR HISTORY UPDATE:

Effective 01 May, 2021, Randy Scott will have paid into SBP for 30 years, which will make it fully funded and no longer subject to monthly payments.


In all seriousness, I'd almost forgotten that after 30 years of paying for SBP, combined with age 70, (which I hit next month) SBP is considered paid up. They say payments are automatically stopped but keep an eye on it anyway.

Tht's great info Randy. Based on what you said, I should have been paid up in June 2016 yet they continue to hold it out.

Hey guys,
Being a youngster, I completed my 30 years and turned 70 June 2020. I was immediately notified by by DFAS that I was paid in full. My current 1099 shows that I only have a deduction for my VGLI which had a premium increase at age 70.
