For those in the Greater Washington DC area, a reminder that Master Chief Ed “Smokie” Smock’s internment ceremony will be conducted tomorrow morning at 11 AM at Arlington National Cemetery. Hope to see you there.

I assume Ed was cremated and his ashes were interned. Does anyone know what the process is to make this happen? What paperwork has to be done? Ive done some research however its pretty confusing. I believe the request can only be started once the service member has passed and has already been cremated.
