My wife and I intend to visit Key West this winter. This will be my first trip there since spending time "behind the green doors". I was looking at a map of Key West and I cant tell for sure just where the base/school was located. Can someone provide the location then and now? Thanks for your assistance.

I can't say this for sure but I've been told that those school buildings do not exist any longer.
For some reason, I think I recall the "green door" bldg number as 432.

That sounds like a fun trip down memory lane and I hope I'm wrong about the bldg's demise.

Jack, John, Google maps show the school buildings are still there. As are the barracks, galley, and Beach Patio. Look at the southwest end of Key West. It appears the rest of the base has changed dramatically. There is still a some type of structure/flag pole where the main gate was located, but the street is lined with houses now.

Interesting Paul I'm kinda glad my info was in error.

Yeah. had to forego that one in deference to my 107 year old Mother She finally started having health issues this past Fall and passed this past Jan.
I'm hopeful that there will be another opportunity in 2029.
