My holidays in Greece

Just back from 2 weeks in the sun (though I'm no sunbather). Good family destination.

Sky Europe flying from Krakow to Thessaloniki, n. Greece - 2100zl for 4 rtn tickets. Taxi to and from airport EUR 80. Appt EUR 60 a night (not per person)
Car hire EUR 30 per day - don't laugh ... Fiat Panda!
liodim@otenet.gr email alternatively hire in advance from the airport (we arrived and left in the early hours so ...)
Excellent archaelogical remains (Vergina, Pella, Olynthos) and we had a deserted beach and no bar noise as we were intentionally out of town.

Any recommendations anyone?

Re: My holidays in Greece

I'm not a big fan of holidays in either Greece or Turkey. I prefer the north of Europe for a vacation. This year it is the UK. Next year I'll probably holiday in the north of Sweden. I avoid the hot sun whenever possible.

Re: My holidays in Greece

Sun is good for you, burning isn't. It's the only way to get vitamin D3.
Pancreatic cancer, for example, afflicts cloudy, northern countries.
