Highway construction Poland

I have a question. What sort of compensation is paid to landowners who own land needed for highway construction in Polen?

Woman Finds Road in Her Garden
A woman in Lodz, Poland recently returned from holiday to find that a road had been built in her back garden.

A change in Polish law means that roads can be built on private land without consent, and without the owner receiving any form of compensation.

A spokesperson from the council failed to see why the woman was upset by the issue, stating:

"I don't know why she is complaining, it is not a busy road, and she can still get to the back of her garden quite easily... She still owns the land, it just has a road on it now."

I think there is money to be made if you know, well in advance, where roads are to be built. Any money is probably to be made on possible development beside the new road. A few hectares of farmland worth perhaps 6,000 złoties a hectare might suddenly be worth a million or two, with a new road project closeby.
