Terrorist alert in Warsaw

From onet.pl
Terminal krajowy na warszawskim lotnisku Okęcie został ewakuowany przed godz. 16. Władze lotniska zaniepokoił pozostawiony w terminalu bagaż. Alarm szybko odwołano. Po sprawdzeniu, okazało się, że nie było w nim nic podejrzanego - dowiedział się serwis tvn24.pl

It's saying that there was a terror alert at the domestic terminal at Okecie airport just before 4pm & that baggage had been searched & planes were delayed. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an excercise given that there was a large police presence on the Metro today, with a dozen heavily armed officers with sniffer dogs standing around not doing anything much on each station.

Given the Taleban's last week's threat to target Poland, I wonder if there will be more problems and whether any attack will be successful?

Re: Terrorist alert in Warsaw

Let’s see; Poland allows girls to go to school, licenses the sale of alcohol and permits the flying of kites. Yes, Poland is a target.

"was flying out today of Warsaw (Terminal 1).

But were you flying at 4pm when one of the terminals was closed? Apparently there were delays for some time due to no take-off or landing.

The police were also calling at all shops on Belwederska & Ujazdowskie.
