Glad rags

I've discovered clothes shops!

It's a miracle - the thought has finally dawned on me that I can buy clothes for reasons other than merely keeping warm or replacing old garments the dog refuses to chew anymore.

A leather jacket (980pln), a jacket, a few pairs of trousers, shirts. Brushed cotton trousers are so warm and smooth ...

Before 44

Re: Glad rags

I'm off to a local shopping centre called Askana to buy myself a smart cord jacket and maybe some boots this very afternoon ...

Re: Glad rags

I told myself many years ago that the moment I started appreciating cords would be the sign that middle age had arrived.

But it is such a good fabric ...

Re: Glad rags

I've always been a huge fan of corduroy. Worn the stuff since childhood .

Re: Glad rags

Perhaps one of you boys will come across my lovely brown corduroy monsoon jean-style casual jacket with its furry collar and satin lining. I'm sure one of the waitresses at the thai restaurant I last wore it, is covetously stroking it's velvety grooves as I type....but maybe it will turn up in a market in Poland having gone through some "charity" clothing route... bereft without it on a cool summer evening riverside drink

Re: Glad rags

If I see it at Lumpex or Ciucholandia I'll mail it back to you.

I just bought a cord jacket in brown that looks as if it's been shot with blue. Cord is simply the last thing in elegance.

Re: Glad rags

I'm looking for some good shops near the centre of Warsar, if you can help Varso

Re: Glad rags

The flying jacket I got in Kurów, which is in the middle of nowhere - sort of near Kazimierz.
In Warsaw, I work near Zlote Tarasy, so there's Van Graaf and M&S

Re: Glad rags

so what are you doing on the evening of the 29th? Fancy showing a provincial boy a good time?

Re: Glad rags

Errr ... not exactly!

Re: Glad rags

Well that killed the conversation!
