Polish schools have almost no insurance

You have to insure your child privately. The school policy will have a maximum payout of around 100 zl, and that is if you lose a leg.

My son needed dental treatment thanks to a bully (who the school had supported tirelessly - long, stupid story ... won't bore you), but the damage caused by the "accident" which happened in a "supervised" classroom exceeded the payout limits.

The dentist charged 90zl for gluing his snapped tooth together, and we got 60zl back ... and that entailed a trip to Warsaw to prove the damage to a PZU board.
