Siekiera Motyka

For some strange reason this tune has been going around in my head in the last day or so. I could only remember the word "motyka" and looked it up and found it! It's a WWII song banned by the nazis and if you read Polish you will see why. It seems to have many more modern variations on the net and seems to originate from a bit of a racy rustic song.

Siekiera, motyka, bimber, szklanka,
w nocy nalot, w dzień łapanka,
siekiera, motyka, światło, prąd,
kiedyż oni pójdą stąd.

Już nie mamy gdzie się skryć,
hycle1 nam nie dają żyć.
Po ulicach gonią wciąż,
patrzą, kogo jeszcze wziąć.

Siekiera, motyka, piłka, linka,
tutaj Prusy, tam Treblinka2,
siekiera, motyka, światło, prąd,
drałuj, draniu, wreszcie stąd.

Siekiera, motyka, styczeń, luty,
Hitler z Ducem3 gubią buty,
siekiera, motyka, linka, drut,
już pan malarz4 jest kaput5.

Siekiera, motyka, piłka, alasz6,
przegrał wojnę głupi malarz,
siekiera, motyka, piłka, nóż,
przegrał wojnę już, już, już.
