Polish parliament sidelined by Brussels

German MEP: "percentage of legislation originating in Brussels is 85 percent in Germany, and even higher in eastern Europe"
EUobserver reports that, according to Liberal German MEP Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, EU citizens are for the large part unaware that the vast majority of national legislation originates in Brussels, saying the percentage was 85 percent in Germany, and even higher in eastern Europe. He added: "People don't know this because national politicians don't want them to know. They don't want to show up their own minor role."

Re: Polish parliament sidelined by Brussels

Personally I would prefer that ALL laws were decided in Brussels than by some corrupt politician(s) in Eastern Europe.

Re: Polish parliament sidelined by Brussels

Almost all laws in Poland are dictated by corrupt, unelected officials in Brussels. c.90% actually.

Who else can't get their accounts signed off for countless years and had their entire executive removed for fraud? Without being held to account, that is.
