Some good news from Poland:-

Poland's jobless rate down to 10.8 percent in May

Poland's jobless rate inched down to 10.8 percent in May from 11 percent the previous month, the state statistics office said Thursday.

The Central Statistical Office said that some 1.68 million of the nation's 38 million residents were unemployed at the end of May. In April, there were some 1.72 million jobless.

Poland's unemployment has been slowly decreasing since reaching an 11.2 percent high in March amid the global crisis. Seasonal farming, construction and forestry jobs were behind the decrease.
