Canadian looking for Polish help

I am travelling to Poland in May with my 80 yr old mother, and we are trying to contact relatives living around Gliwice. It's been about 10 years since we've heard from them and the international operator can't find them in the phone book.
I was hoping that anyone in Poland that might have access to the Gliwice phone book or the local operator could help us out.
The details are Leos (Leon) Lukwinski in Gliwice and Zdzislaw Lukwinski in Paniowki, just outside of Gliwice. (Ps, the L has a / through it)
Any help I could get would be GREATFULLY appreciated. Heck I'd probably thank you in person when we get there.
Thanks

Re: Canadian looking for Polish help

My grandfather died in march,1945, near the village or settlement, called Novomisze (or Novymisze, or Nowomisze).
Old german name is Noedorf.
I want to visit this place with my 81 year old grandmother.
It should be somewhere around Glubezyce, but I can not find it on the map.
Please, help me with the directions.

Re: Canadian looking for Polish help

Maybe the old German name was Neudorf?

Maybe the place you are looking for is now in the Czech republic? Glucholazy is right on the Polish / Czech border.

Re: Canadian looking for Polish help

Thank you very much.
Could it be also Glubczyce? Do you know its old German name?

Re: Canadian looking for Polish help

Neudorf = Nowa Wies

Re: Canadian looking for Polish help

German name for "Głubczyce" is "Leobschütz".
Regards. Kuba
