Utility bills

Are utility bills (eg for gas , electricity, rates etc) in Poland normally paid quarterley ie every three months or on an annual basis - would they normally be paid in cash or can payment be set up to be made direct from a bank account?

Re: Utility bills

The bills are usually paid every month or every other month. It is possible to pay in cash in the post office or bank but also you can set up a direct payment from a bank account.

Re: Utility bills

Gas bills are usually paid every four months. You can pay most bills online.

There's also a charge for tv usage called abonament. This can be paid monthly or a year in advance.

There's also a land tax which is normally paid annually.

Re: Utility bills

You'll also have to pay for rubbish collection if you have a house and also get a tv licence.

Re: Utility bills

and you'll also probably have to pay something if you keep a dog!
