Re: Learn Polish in England

''I always do my best to speak Polish when shopping or ordering food or a drink. Of course every Pole can hear that I'm not Polish so they answer back in English! they just want to make it easier for you.
For their bad English - at least they try and make an effort to address you in your own language and they probably want to practise their English.''

And i want to practise my bad polish, they just dont want to give keen foreigners a chance to practise their polish

Re: Learn Polish in England

I triied out my polish on a (polish)security operative I was working with today, and he stared at me with a look of amazement. And he then replied in English, surprise, surprise. I tell you what the Polish boys make good security men, serious, no nonsense and polite. The majority are University graduates.
