Why can't I work as a CNA with a RMA lic?

What is the difference in level of care if someone is a
CNA or RMA and why can't I work as a CNA,I have been a CNA for 25+ years in Hawaii now I am in Nevada.I thought while a position opens up as a MA I could do the other.

Re: Why can't I work as a CNA with a RMA lic?

The training ios completely different between a CNA and medical assistent. CNA training is typically completed in 8 weeks and entails toleting, bedmaking, proper lifting techniques, and assisting clients with ADL's. medical assisting entails training in 3 areas- clinical, administrative, and lab. It is usually a 1-2 year program. It includes vital signs, assisting with procedures, injections, how to run various lab tests, medical coding and billing etc.. the certifications come form completely different agencies.
