I guess they are afraid that someone will train and then leave. They must be afraid of losing their investment in staff.

Hmmmm-it's been my experience that when staff are fairly compensated, know what their employer's expectations are, and are treated with respect, they do not have a desire to leave after 3 months of employment. The employee makes an investment in starting a new job as well. A good MD does not necessarily make a qualified business owner/employer. Good leadership is so hard to find!
