I've had this cough forever. had it before and it went away. Got it again after getting a cold. Tried everything to get rid of it. Been to all kinds of drs but I have welfare health insurance and the drs practically do nothing. I have been tested for allergies-none. one dr thought I might have asthma and gave me inhalers-didn't work and something inside me told me not to take them. Another told me it was a virus. tried cough meds and everything. I don't smoke or anything. I was worried about working, my internship, or getting hired with this. i heard alot of people have this stubborn cough too.

How often do you cough...say in 1 hour? I would let my employer bring it up and then explain that you haven't received a Dx for your cough. Then, ask if your MD has any suggestions.
