I worked in a family practice, they always told us that specialty offices pay more but the work is not as exciting.

I work in a GI office.....yes the pay is higher but the work is soooooo mindless! You really have to weight it out. I am ok with the mindless work b/c I do not plan on doing this longterm ( i'm in school working on a degree to become a funeral director). So, if you don't think you will do this forever go for the spec. office!

I work at my local family planning clinic and I make 10.75 which is above average wehre I'm from. Most MAs around here are lucky if the make 8:00 and I mean LUCKY!!
