Nervous in new job!!

I do it everytime...in EVERY new job... I do a great job of "selling" myself in the interview, get the job very quickly... But then keeping/wanting the job is another story!!! I get soooo NERVOUS trying to learn a new job that it's pathetic!! I always feel like I'm not catching on fast enough to suit them/mgt. It drives me crazy!! I wish I were better @ at least appearing more confident than I actually am. I'm really capable of learning the ropes, it's just that I get so nervous about their expectations that I usually sabatage myself by putting myself down or appearing because of my stupid nerves!!! Does anyone else out there have the same issue?! I'd love to hear from someone on the subject... I really want to get past this phase because I know I can do the job (Large Dermatology Clinic).
Thanks for letting me vent...

Re: Nervous in new job!!

Clancy: There's always a learning curve at every new job, no matter how long you may have been in the industry. Give yourself a break!

Before you go into work, tell yourself encouraging things like: "Today will be great! These people have chosen me over all the other applicants because they know how awesome I am! I'll go about my day with confidence knowing I am more than capable of doing what the position reuqires. And at the end of the day, I will feel happy and peaceful knowing I've done my best and it was good enough."

Good luck!
