Venipuncture

I am an unemployed RMA. My externship was done at a general internist's office w/a lab and my former job was at a pulmonologist/sleep medicine office. Both places did not require me to perform venipuncture/blood draw. I am now back in the job market and find that without venipuncture experience, I am missing out on a lot of job opportunities. I did learn how to draw blood at the technical college I graduated from, but that was a few years ago. My question is, how/where can I get some practice so I feel confident enough to apply for these jobs that require taking blood?

You can take a phlebotomy course, but at least around where I live, it cost at least $1,000.
