Question for medical assisatnts

If someone is unhappy when they are about to leave your office, what should you as a medical assistant do or say to make that person feel a little better. Given in any situation.

There can be any number of reasons why an employee is unhappy in their job - these reasons can be either personal or related to the job. Either way, the root cause needs to be discovered. I would NEVER tell them anything that may add fuel to the fire, and also, never burn my bridges. Rather I would say...

1. What are your reasons
2. We understand your frustration
2. We (the business) need you
3. What can we do to change your mind
5. Best wishes
6. Stay in touch

Danni, Good answer. I read this before and was under the impression "someone" was a patient not an employee. Maybe we need a definition of what constitutes a someone?
