Inactive filing procedures

I was wondering what is everyone's filing system when it comes to filing inactive client records. Thanks.

Re: Inactive filing procedures

I can't speak for my current clinic.

At the last place I worked we only kept active files from the last two years. Files 8-10 years old were kept in the basement. After 10 years they were held off site in an archive location.
