Can Medical Assistants be called to testify in court?

Sure, I/we can testify... only on things I/we know about though. I don't know jack unless I have the chart notes where I entered the vitals and CC.

I like rocks, PB & honey sandwiches, the woman I call my wife, my pickup, our grand kid... what do you want me to testify about?

When it comes to HIPAA, I can only recall from my docs notes. One of the privileges of having CRS... subpoena the docs records, that might jog my memory if you read directly from them. One day is so crammed full of crap, if you don't have a specific question, I might not have more than a vague answer.
