Insurance

I have been working as a Medical Assistant since 2007 for several different doctors. Why is it that doctors don't offer their own employees health insurance? I'm running around all day long taking care of sick people and yet, I can't afford to go to the doctor myself. Why don't the certification centers offer group health insurance? Why isn't there a group health insurance plan for healthcare workers that don't work in hospitals? I know insurance is expensive but there should be some option for us, or is there one that I don't know of?
