How can I get hired with no recent experience. ATL area

I am new to this community and I just finished my externship and will be taking my certification next week. I have no "real" recent experience in the field. I am in the ATL area and I am looking to work ASAP. Does anybody have any leads/advise. Also, if anyone has any good study information for the certification exam, I would be glad to get it.

Get out a phone book and apply at every practice in town. Keep doing this until some one hires you.
