Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I've been reading posts quite a bit. I just have a question and wanted to see if anyone can give me any insight to this. I started my Clinical's course about 6 weeks ago. I was supposed to get my clinical site assignment this last Monday but instead, received an email (along with several other students) stating that they have not yet secured a site for me. Does anyone know how this happens? I'm supposed to do my 20 clinical hours between June 7th and 18th and Im concerned they will not have a site for me by then. Also, has anyone looked at the CMA practice exam on the AAMA's website? Is it pretty much the same as the real test? I will finish school in November and want to take the CMA exam right after. Thanks!!

The test is pretty much like the practice exam, iirc.

20 hours? We had 240 between front and back office. 20 hours isn't even half a week, is that a typo?

No, it isnt a typo. This term I will do 20 hours of clinicals, next term another 20 hours of clinicals and my last term is 160 hour externship, so I get a total of 200 hours of hands on experience. Does that make more sense? Sorry I confused you!
