Hmmm... I would be interested to see a real live poll of folks in the field.

I'm in an economically depressed area. In this area there is no sign of any recovery. In addition, I chose to find work in a rural clinic... lets just say it is a little hard for a fat, old, guy to get a job in the local clinics. I can say I make between the 50-75% of the mean and that is the starting wage in my clinic, in this clinic I use many more of the skills learned in school than at the last clinic that used me. Speaking of the last, my first job out of MA school, I made just below the median. I would like to know when the data was collected.

Jefff.... a poll would be awesome, I agree. I have thought about putting one on the Medical Assistant Net Blogger but I realized, to get the poll down to the most accurate format it would be too complex for a simple polling box. Why? Because rather than the usual (how much do you earn a.) 9.00-12.00/hour b.)13-15 c.) 16-20 per hour, we want to know WHERE they are to get the real picture. And THAT I have not been able to get together on the site.

Does anyone know how to create those polls on line that anyone can get access to? I can not think of the name of it. Maybe we can get one of those going. The figures for my State (CA) are waaaaaaaay off.
