Recertification of Medical Assistants

I am trying to recruit for a local college that needs a Director of their Medical Assistant program. They are requiring a Masters degree and Certified Medical Assistant.

My question is--if someone lets their Certification expire do they have to take the exam again?

Re: Recertification of Medical Assistants

I believe so. I know within the 5 yrs you need to earn so many ceu's or retake the exam when 5 yrs is up. Try looking on the aama website.
