Why did you select this career path?

Has anybody here considered a Pharmacy Tech certification instead of Medical Assisting? If so, why did you choose Medical Assisting, why this particular career path? I really want to take the Medical Assisting program, that is what I really want to do, but I already enrolled in Pharmacy Tech. EDD is funding it but they will only fund one program. I have worked as Pharmacy Clerk, so I have that work experience. I have never worked in any other medical environment. I am just wondering if I should request a program change and do the Medical Assisting program instead of Pharm. Tech, since I have to make a choice, quickly.
