Now maybe they will see that there is a need for MA to be a Licensed Profession

I have read that one of the main criteria to decide if a profession should become a Licensed one is, whether or not the public is at risk if the people performing the service are not licensed. If they are not at risk, it is not necessary to license the profession. Read this article. It might to help get us licensed!
