Frustrated RMA...

Hello everyone. I have been a frequent lurker and decided to let out my frustrations. I graduated in 2005, with alot of ambition and a 4.0 GPA to match. I performed 'superior' on my externship. To give you the gist, I looked for an MA position until 2008. I became so discouraged to where I just gave up. Fast forward to now and its like I had an awakening. I convinced myself that I am more than capable, I just need an opportunity. I contacted a Dr that I knew from volunteering. She told me the clinic was hiring for a 'Bilingual certified medical assistant', I dropped off my resume STAT! When I went for the interview it was for a 'Patient Navigator' position. The interview went well, but now that I have hindsight she did mention another candidates name (not a good sign). I am calling tomorrow to see if a decision has benefit made. If they decide to go with the other candidate, I was going to ask if I can *volunteer*. I contacted my school and they do offer 'skills enhancement classes', which I am highly considering. I have to give myself credit because I am determined but I am just starting to think I wont receive an opportunity! Any encouraging words? I am a mess. Thanks in advance.

Wow, that is huge.

It leaves me wondering. I know I had issues, read Nate's posts about hiring men.
