Trying to become a Medical Assistant - Conducting research

Hello all,

My name is Sammy and I am currently a student at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, IN. I am working on my associates degree in Medical Assisting. I am in an English Composition class and I am writing an Ethnography paper on text in my discipline. I work full time and go to school part time, so my only research can be done through online communities. My topic for research is to convince others that Medical Assisting is a great area in the medical field to get into. I am wanting to ask a few simple questions and hopefully a few people will answer me. I truly admire Medical Assistants and all the work they do, so please help me out so that I can pass this class and earn my degree to join your community!

Here are the questions:

Why did you get into Medical Assisting?
Do you have a college degree in Medical Assisting? If so, what kind?
Did you always know you wanted to work in the Medical Field?
Why should others choose Medical Assisting?
How long have you been in the field?
What advice would you have for someone going into the Medical Assisting community?

Again I would really appreciate any help you all could give me. If you wouldn't mind also including your age when you answer the questions. If not that is okay! I look forward to joining you hard working community. Hopefully you will help me!

Thanks,

Sammy
