Needing advice!!

I have started a 2 year medical assistant program in northeastern TN and am just not sure what to expect. I am hearing that medical assistants spend a lot of time doing administrative work only. this would be fine but I really am more interested in the clinical duties. I just want to make sure I will be using all of the clinical skills I will be learning. Any sdvice would be helpful!

Re: Needing advice!!

Depends on where you work. I work in a very busy family practice and I do both. I kind of like it that way because you don't get bored with it.

Many offices have MA's that are hired strictly for back office or front office work. Usually the ads will specify that.
