RMA vs. CMA

This message is for anyone who might have an opinion on rmas or cmas which is more credible and also i am a male ma student and have fears about not being able to find employment,But was told by a plasma center nurse that it is possible for medical assistants to work at the lpasma center ,I thought this would give me the experience that i noted alot of doctors are looking for in applicants i.e .med histories, finger sticks ,lots of paper work and eventually working in the back hooking people up to the machines.Any response would be helpful .

Re: RMA vs. CMA

I am wondering the same thing as well. Here in my small town we can only become CMA through my collee and get a certificate, but my friend in Chicago is going the same amount of town and getting a Degree and becoming a RMA. Is there a difference? Also because I live in a small Illinois town, they claim that CMA's or RMA's are new but they are never listed in the classified. Whats going on?
