Please help! I need to make a decesion!!

I need advice. I have been accepted to RN school and MA school. The MA school cost a lot more than the RN program, but I can graduate in 9 months vs 2 years. Should I go to nursing school and skip the MA route. Which career path is more rewarding finacially? Thanks for your replies.

Does your ADN school offer an opt out after a year? I can sit for LPN boards after a year, so if you decide it isn't the way to go, you'll still end up with a degree. Something else to consider.
It really depends on where you want to work and what you want your responsibilities to be.

After looking up salaries for the prespective careers, and advancement opportunities, I am going to RN school. I cant believe how much money the CMA program wanted! $7,900 for the program, and the ADN program is $8,500 for 2 years. Plus there are more job opps for RNs with a starting salary $30,000 a year more than a CMA in my area. I guess its a no brainer.

Best of luck to you! I just finishedmy first semester and it was the most difficult schooling I have ever had. It's a completely different way of thinking.

No brainer, indeed. Don't think of the time factor. In the long run,the nursing degree will be SO much better. Nurses are paid well, more respected and recognized, and with many, many job opportunities. MAs get low pay in some areas, with few jobs available. While the RN program is hard, the LPN is less so but almost as good(most jobs require "RN/LPN"). Go for the nursing.
