MA's can be tele techs but you will need to take a class in order to read the strips. Most tele techs are CNA's and Unit Sec's . in hospitals ( the pay is very low here in the MD and DE area). You are better off to become a CMA and or RMA and work in a Doc's office. The starting pay at the hospital I worked at is around 9.50/h for a tele tech The starting pay for MA is around 12/h here.
