Re: FRUSTRATED

Volunteer! You don't have to sit home, and you don't have to have a work permit for that (since you are not on the pay roll -- but make sure you check this out first!).

I see you have access to a computer. Use a search engine to find local volunteer opportunities. Also check out the local community newspapers, expecially those that are free at the grocery store exit or post office, etc.!

Hospitals, clinics, and blood donation centers need you. You may not be able to do hands on clinicals all the time, but you are exposed and emerged in the health care environment you want to eventually get into as a career.

Re: FRUSTRATED

Swetha,

Maybe you could try volenteering at a free clinic, you wouldn't be getting payed, but you could keep up your skills. You could try contacting the Salvation Army or Catholic Socal Services for clinic that could use some help. You also might try asking at your local Temple or Church, there maybe a Dr. that would let you Volenteer at their office (and hire you pending a work visa). Just some ideas

Chill,
I think the last one was an especially great idea. I am glad you thought about that and posted it. It is in our human nature to help those we know or can relate to best.
