Re: rma working at public school

I am not sure of the situation in you state. I do work in MA as a Medical Assistant. My position is to be medical back up. I do have limitations such as, I can not admin medications, so when the nurse is admins meds, I take care of students. Most are basic first aide situations which Medical Assistants are trained at school. (Also my local Fire Dept works with the town and I am certified by them for first aide and cpr w/difib use.) My position is seperate from the nurse though. Check with your local schools, send resume, speak to some school nurse's in your town and ask if they need help. Remember Medical Assistants are valuable to nurse's, we can do paperwork and computers work they don't have time for. Great position!
