Issues with doctor's office

Has anyone had any issues pertaining to safety? At one office the doctor never used an oral thermometer. It is used over and over again on patients. The bio sharps container had needles jamed into the mouth, etc... Would you continue to work there? Any suggestions?

Re: Issues with doctor's office

Is the thermomter disinfected somehow between patients? Some docs are old school and may prefer the glass thermometers. They could easily order sheaths for it.
In regards to the sharps, it is the clinic staff's responsibility to empty it, and should be brought up at either a staff meeting, or to the staffing supervisor. They may need to devise a schedule for emptying and replacing them- a sign off sheet or smething. That is an easy fix.
