The opposition to Turtle Bay spews hatred to Oaktree, the property owner, in print, through protest, through signs, etc.

But Mark Cunningham proclaimed not selling to Starwood is a victory.

Why is that?

It appears to me that Oaktree selling would be something the North Shore serial protestors would welcome.

Am I wrong? Why?
