We should not hand over Kawela to be urbanized. This was our ancestors lands and its power and beauty remains. Why should we allow a beautiful place such as Kawela to be altered into some..."resort?!" Most of this island is taken up by man made items and most beaches are lined with tourists. I think it is wonderful that we are so forward in technology and overall, Akamai. However, I think it is best that we keep Kawela the way it is now if not even better. This is paradise we're talking about! Things that most people aren't lucky enough to see every day and here we are wanting to change it into some resort. Not only is this unfair to the aina but also to our kupuna of Hawaiian ancestry.
