Why contraindicated for certain eye disorders with Tadarise 60 Mg?

Tadarise 60 mg is a medication containing tadalafil, which is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Tadalafil, the active ingredient in Tadarise, belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. While Tadarise is generally well-tolerated by most individuals, there are certain eye disorders for which its use is contraindicated or requires caution. This is primarily due to the potential risk of developing a serious eye condition known as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

NAION is a rare but serious condition that involves sudden vision loss or decreased vision in one or both eyes. It occurs due to a disruption of blood flow to the optic nerve, leading to damage and loss of vision. Although the exact mechanism by which PDE5 inhibitors like tadalafil may contribute to the development of NAION is not fully understood, it is believed that these medications may affect blood flow to the optic nerve, increasing the risk of NAION in susceptible individuals.

As a result, Tadarise 60 Mg  and other medications containing tadalafil are contraindicated in individuals with a history of NAION or other visual disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa. Additionally, caution is advised when prescribing Tadarise to individuals with certain pre-existing eye conditions, including:

Retinal disorders: Individuals with certain retinal disorders, such as retinitis pigmentosa, may be at increased risk of NAION or other vision-related complications when using PDE5 inhibitors like tadalafil.

Optic nerve disorders: Conditions affecting the optic nerve, such as optic neuropathy or optic disc drusen, may increase the risk of NAION or exacerbate existing visual impairment.

Vascular disorders: Individuals with underlying vascular disorders, such as hypertension (high blood pressure), atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), or diabetes, may be more susceptible to developing NAION due to compromised blood flow to the optic nerve.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD): Although the association between AMD and NAION is less clear, individuals with AMD may still be at increased risk of vision-related complications when using PDE5 inhibitors.

It's important for healthcare providers to thoroughly evaluate a patient's medical history, including any pre-existing eye conditions, before prescribing Tadarise or other medications containing tadalafil. Patients should also be educated about the signs and symptoms of NAION and advised to seek immediate medical attention if they experience sudden vision loss or changes in vision while taking Tadarise.
