WARRENTON, Va. — Eva Grace Nichols Wooldridge died on October 30, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Warrenton, Va. She was born on December 24, 1909 in Wilkes County, N.C. to the late Wiley and Lura Wells Nichols. Also preceding her in death were sisters, Sue and Irene; son, Kermit; grandson, Kermit, Jr.; nephews, James and Jackie. She is survived by son, Hassel Wooldridge of Grundy, Va.; and daughter, Elsie Dee Kreutter of Warrenton, Va.; daughter-in-law, Maggie; nieces, Juanita, Janice and Eva Mae. She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wooldridge was a retired Buchanan County school teacher and a member of the Garden United Methodist Church where she served as the pianist/organist for 62 years. "SHE GRADUATED FROM WELCH HIGH SCHOOL IN WELCH, WV" and Radford College, a member of the Delta Kappa Gama Sorority, United Methodist Women, the DAR and an inductee of the Buchanan County Hall of Fame.Mrs. Wooldridge requested that she be cremated.The public is invited to a "Celebration of Life" on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Appalachian School of Pharmacy in Oakwood, Va. with a reception to follow.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Garden United Methodist Church, or the Grace Wooldridge Scholarship Fund at Radford University, Radford, Va., or the charity of your choice.Information submitted by Moser Funeral Home of Warrenton, Va.
